Holistic Leadership and the Impact on Employee Retention

I have recently completed research for my dissertation on "Leading Holistically and the Impact on Employee Retention". The results speak for themselves. I had the opportunity to survey numerous employees from 14 organizations. Of the numerous employees surveyed, greater than 80% responded they preferred a leader who leads in a holistic manner versus a leader who leads in an autocratic or dictatorial manner. In case you don't know, leading holistically entails leading with the mind, body, and spirit such that the desired outcome is a win-win for all stakeholders. Certainly, if one considers the state of affairs in this country and around the world, the verdict is in, a leadership paradigm shift is of paramount importance. Employees have the power to make a difference. Yes, the economic debacle that America and the world finds itself entrenched in will prevent many employees from speaking up for themselves, but consider the people of Egypt. Many of them had nothing, and they were able to uproot their leader of 30 years. If we as a people want economic parity, then we must stand up and fight for what we believe in.

Your thoughts?
